Rohit Shetty’s upcoming cop-drama Simmba, which stars Ranveer Singh in the lead, might just be seeing another famous cop in its narrative. According to reports, Shetty has approached Ajay Devgn, famous for his role as a cop in Shetty’s Singham franchise, to do a small cameo in Simmba, which the actor has reportedly agreed to.
Shetty’s choice does not really come as a surprise, as out of the 13 movies that he has directed, 10 of them have starred Devgn in some capacity or the other.
DNA reports that Ajay will have an interesting part in Simmba’s climax. Every time Rohit plans a film, Ajay is the first one he bounces off his ideas to. In fact, Devgn was the one who felt Ranveer would be ideal for this movie. The idea was to get these two characters (Singham and Simmba) together for a scene.
Rohit’s film is a cop-drama adapted from the Telugu hit Temper. Simmba is also backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and is slated to hit screens on 28 December. The first look of the movie was released in November last year and sees Singh looking like a quirky, mad-hatter playing the role of a cop.
